$100 PER SHEAR

Our Drop and Repair Service includes all the necessary time and work that may be required to correct all of the damage occurred to bring your scissors back to optimum performance. This includes any, grinding, reshaping, hammering, and other corrective methods. (Not all scissors are able to serviced or saved depending on their condition). You will be notified if this is the case and issued a refund minus a return shipping fee of $10.00. All Drop and Repair Services include our Sharpening Service as part of the fee.

Our Authentic Traditional Japanese Sharpening includes the following:

• Traditional Japanese 12 point inspection.
• Disassembly and magnified disassembled inspection.
• 120 Watt Ultrasonic cleaning and disinfecting.
• Hammering set and balance.
• Authentic Japanese flat hone and whetstone sharpening.
• Demagnetization of blades and parts.
• Reassembly and Traditional Japanese 12 point inspection.
• Japanese factory and human hair test.

Any additional parts such as new washers, bumpers, and tension plates are included in this service if available. All Nagamaki Shears and their parts will be 100% covered under their warranty, however other brands that may require non universal replacement parts, may not be available for replacement. You will be notified beforehand if this the case. 

After Purchasing:

How to ship

After you purchase, a package will be shipped to the shipping address you provided. Inside the package is a scissor case, a rubber band, and a return envelope with a return shipping label. Simply place the rubber band around the blades or handle stem, insert the scissors securely into the scissor holder in the case, zip the case, place it in the return envelope with the return shipping label, and drop it in your mailbox.

Shipping Insurance

For ALL OTHER BRANDS other than Nagamaki Shears, if you require more insurance than what's included for the FREE ($100.00) insured domestic Return Shipping, you must notify us first by email at contact@nagamakishears.com, so that we may arrange the extra insurance be added to the return shipping at the purchasers cost, not Nagamaki Shears/ Sharpening. Nagamaki Shears/Sharpening is not responsible for lost or damaged items that exceed the insured amount for the Return Shipping.

Total Turnaround time:

3-10 days. The day we receive your shears, they will be finished and shipped back out the very next day, unless the shears have damage that requires repair as part of a sharpening order, in which case we will call or text you first to see how you'd like us to proceed. FREE ($100.00) insured domestic Return Shipping included, except for Canada, Alaska, and Hawaii. Additional shipping costs will be required and quoted at the time of completion.
